Dear Camp Laurelwood Community,

As we get ready to officially transition directors this Sunday, I find myself reflecting on my incredible journey over the past seven years. My time as Director of Camp Laurelwood has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, filled with countless memories, deep connections, and an overwhelming sense of love and community.

Camp Laurelwood is more than just a place; it is a vibrant, living community that thrives because of the people who call it home. From our dedicated staff to our spirited campers, supportive families, and all of you who have guided and encouraged me, this camp is a testament to the power of love, tradition, and togetherness. The warmth and support I have felt during my time here are beyond words, and I will carry these feelings with me always.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading this remarkable Camp. It has been an honor to contribute to the legacy of Camp Laurelwood, and I am deeply appreciative of the trust you placed in me to carry that legacy forward. As I step away from this role, I do so with immense pride in what we have accomplished together and with great excitement for what lies ahead.

I am thrilled to see Ben step into the role of Camp Director. Throughout this summer, Ben and I have worked closely to ensure a smooth transition, focusing on preserving the traditions that make Camp Laurelwood so special while also bringing in fresh ideas and energy to keep our camp thriving. Ben’s passion, professionalism, and deep understanding of our camp’s unique spirit will undoubtedly guide Camp Laurelwood to new heights.

While my daily presence at camp may come to an end, my love for Camp Laurelwood and its incredible community will remain strong. I am excited to watch Ben lead this next chapter, confident that he will continue to build on the foundation we have worked so hard to create.
